I began serving seniors 24 years ago at a skilled nursing facility. After 13 years in that setting, I found my way to assisted living; where I have spent the last 11 years. During this time, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from University of Phoenix.
I feel it is a privilege to work where residents call home, with a strong team of people that have the same passion and commitment of caring for seniors. Daily we strive to make Bethesda Gardens of Phoenix the best place to live, work, and call home. My four children and one granddaughter keep me busy in my spare time. My husband and I also enjoy hiking and riding any off road vehicles in the beautiful Arizona desert.
Hellen began her career 20 years ago as a CNA and in 2010earned a diploma in Nursing at Platt College in Dallas, TX. Hellen’s first job as a nurse was in a senior living community as a health and wellness nurse. She has always been drawn to caring for seniors. As a young girl, she cared for her grandmother who had arthritis that caused her constant pain and difficulty with daily activities. Hellen feels most fulfilled when she is serving others. Hellen loves the residents and staff like they are her own family.
