I began serving seniors 24 years ago at a skilled nursing facility. After 13 years in that setting, I found my way to assisted living; where I have spent the last 11 years. During this time, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from University of Phoenix.
I feel it is a privilege to work where residents call home, with a strong team of people that have the same passion and commitment of caring for seniors. Daily we strive to make Bethesda Gardens of Phoenix the best place to live, work, and call home. My four children and one granddaughter keep me busy in my spare time. My husband and I also enjoy hiking and riding any off road vehicles in the beautiful Arizona desert.
Joy has worked in senior living for the past seven years. She truly enjoys participating in the lives of seniors and being an advocate for them. Joy particularly looks forward to therapeutic craft time with the residents, singing with them at gatherings ,as well as hearing about their interesting lives. Joy strives to remind them that this is not all there is, and that God is always with all of us on our journey through life. Joy considers Bethesda Gardens her home away from home and the staff and residents are her family.
